The Sixth Judicial District has become one of the busier districts in the state. Our goal has always been and will remain to help each and every person who walks into our office in a professional, efficient and respectful manner.
The Clerk of Court summons jurors for District Court trials. Jurors are paid at the rate of $30.00 per day plus mileage. Most jury trials are completed within three days. We had a total of 21 jury trials this past year, almost twice as many as the year before. To accommodate the growing needs of our community and our increased work load, we are pleased to welcome an additional District Court Judge. In September, 2005, Judge Michael N. "Nick" Deegan joined Judge Dan R. Price II and Judge John R. Perry to better meet these demands.
Planning a trip overseas? Pick up your passport application at the Clerk of District Court office. The fee for passports: Adult $110; Child $80. There is a $25.00 processing fee for each passport.
