Basic Search Tips

Parcel Number Search

  • The Parcel number search uses our schedule number (anywhere from 1 to 5 digits) not the parcel pin number which is 14 digits.

Owner Name Search

  • The Owner name search is more likely to find a match with less information, (i.e. J Smith, not Jonathan L. Smith)
  • The owner search will search a partial name such as (Abrah, instead of Abrahmson) this is ideal if you are not sure of spelling.
  • The Owner Name search will search by; first name, last name, additional or et-al owner name.

Street Address Search

  • The Street Address search goes with the same principles as the Name search, (i.e. 403 Gillette instead of 403 S Gillette Ave) is more likely to find a match.
  • The Street Address Search will also search by partial names (i.e. Gill instead of Gillette.)
  • The Street Address search does not need a street suffix but if one is used it should be abbreviated, (i.e. St., Ave., Blvd., Ct., Cir. etc.)

Legal Description Search

  • Legal Descriptions are in one of two formats; Section, Township, Range and description or Lot, Block and Subdivision (which may also have some description but is usually not necessary to find what you are looking for).
  • An example of the Section, Township, Range & description is: Sec. 4, Twp. 49, Rng. 73 Desc. N2SE
  • An example of Lot, Block and Subdivision is: Lot 1, Block 2, and Subdivision Antelope Valley (selected from the drop down menu)

Basic Information Tips

Parcel Details Screen

  • This screen has all of the basic detail for a parcel on it, owner name, legal description, values, land size etc.
  • It also has all the links need to get to the other information we provide online.

View Owner Detail Link

  • Under this link you will find all the owner names associated with the parcel. Normally this is just the primary owner, but there are occasionally additional owners, et-al owners (owners with some partial interest) and Contract for deed owners, these are characterized by the C/O after the primary owner name.

New Owner Detail Link

  • Under this link you will find new owners listed for the next tax year.
  • This is necessary because some parcels encompass more than one subdivided lot or more than one area in unplatted land (section, township and range descriptions).
  • The link is there because we are still processing deeds at certain times of the year but are prohibited by statute to change the “official owner names” until the following year.

View Notes Link

  • This link will take you to any notes we have on a particular parcel
  • This link is also only visible if there are notes available
  • Some notes are not visible on the Property Search, if this is the case the view notes link will tell you to contact the Assessor’s Office for details.

View Legal Detail Link

  • This link will show the full legal detail for the parcel as well as any assigned addresses.
  • This is necessary because some parcels encompass more than one subdivided lot or more than one area in unplatted land (section, township and range descriptions).
  • (note:) If searching by legal description and your parcel has multiple legals or addresses only the one you searched for will show up on the results field, you must go to the View Legal Detail Link to get all the legals and addresses.

View Tax Detail Link

  • The Tax detail link gives data on when taxes were paid, how much was paid, what is owing if any and what is delinquent if any.
  • It also allows you to see taxes by year (note: only for the years that that parcel was on the tax role if it was removed from another parcel at some point, please call and we will look into it for you.)
  • Finally there is also a link on this page to take you to a full tax history, (it shows dates and amounts for every year the parcel was on the tax role).

Other Problems

  • If you have read all these tips and still are having problems, please don’t hesitate to e-mail or call us. We would be happy to help you.
