The Campbell County Board of Commissioners met in regular session Tuesday, May 20, 1997. Chairman Desavedo called the meeting to order at 9:00 AM and led the Pledge of Allegiance.
Present were Jan Evans, Fred L. Oedekoven, Les Desavedo, Commissioners; Susan F. Saunders, County Clerk; Maxine Lieber, Deputy County Clerk; Mike Maycock, County Attorney; Carol Seeger, Deputy County Attorney; and Bryn N. Stewart, Director Administrative Services.

Commissioner Evans motioned to approve the line item transfer from Public Works in the amount of $3000 from 082-6324.01, Tire Disposal to 082-6787, Scale. Commissioner Oedekoven seconded the motion. The Board was polled.

Commissioner Evans motioned to approve the Release, Compromise and Settlement Agreement for Rawhide Subdivision which was presented by Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation. Commissioner Oedekoven seconded the motion. The Board was polled:

Commissioner Oedekoven motioned to nominate Clark Fairbanks to serve on the Governor’s Juvenile Justice Planning Commission. Commissioner Evans seconded the motion. The Board was polled:

Commissioner Oedekoven motioned to approve spending $2500 from Commissioners’s Contingency for the Holiday Basketball Tournament. Commissioner Desavedo seconded the motion. The Board was polled:

Commissioner Evans motioned to approve the Resolution approving the purchase of Revenue Bonds for the Parkside Apartment Project as recommended by the County Attorney. Commissioner Oedekoven seconded the motion. The Board was polled:

Commissioner Evans motioned to approve the execution of the Water Pipeline Easement with the City of Gillette which will be located north of Bicentennial Park. Commissioner Oedekoven seconded the motion. The Board was polled:
All Voted - Aye Carried.
Commissioner Oedekoven motioned to approve the Resolution establishing guidelines for length of service for county board appointments with the following language added: that individuals will be limited to consecutive appointments to the same County Board, whereas three year appointments are limited to two-three year terms, whereas five year appointments are limited to one-five year term. Commissioner Desavedo seconded the motion. The Board was polled:

Commissioner Oedekoven motioned to approve the payment of a repair bill in the amount of $2355.62 to Ray MacIntosh for damage done to his vehicle while helping a Sheriff’s Deputy. The money is to come from the Self Insurance Account. Commissioner Evans seconded the motion. The Board was polled:

Commissioner Evans motioned to reschedule the July 15th meeting to July 22nd. Commissioner Oedekoven seconded the motion. The Board was polled:

Commissioner Evans motioned to approve the revised Resolution, Application and Exhibits submitted by Two Elk Generation Partners for the issuance of Campbell County Industrial Development Revenue Bonds. Commissioner Oedekoven seconded the motion. The Board was polled:
All Voted - Aye Carried
There being no further business to come before the Board of Commissioners the meeting was adjourned at 10:45AM. The next regular scheduled meeting of the Board of Commissioners will be held Tuesday, June 3, 1997 at 9:00AM in the Commissioners Chambers of the courthouse.
