The Campbell County Board of Commissioners met in regular session Tuesday June 18, 1996. Chairman Shippy called the meeting to order at 9:00AM and led the Pledge of Allegiance.
Present were David A. Shippy, Les Desavedo, Jan Evans, Commissioners; Susan F. Saunders, County Clerk; Mike Maycock, County Attorney; and Bryn N. Stewart, Director of Administrative Services.
Commissioner Desavedo motioned to approve the following amended consent agenda as presented:

Commissioner Evans motioned to approve the establishment of a retainage account between Campbell County, First Interstate Bank and Cundy Asphalt Paving & Construction, for the Gillette Campus Parking Lot Reconstruction Project, Phase 1. Commissioner Desavedo seconded the motion. The Board was polled:

Commissioner Desavedo motioned to approve the low bid from Cundy Asphalt in the amount of $57,503 for the Heritage Village/Rawhide Subdivision Bike Path Project. Chairman Shippy seconded the motion. The Board was polled:

Commissioner Desavedo motioned to transfer $28,000 from Commissioners Contingency, to 020.7279.03, Bike Paths. Chairman Shippy seconded the motion. The Board was polled:

Chairman Shippy motioned to approve the grading recommended by the County Personnel Committee for the positions of, Physical Therapist and Victim/Witness Coordinator. Commissioner Evans seconded the motion. The Board was polled:

Commissioner Evans motioned to reappoint Irene Diede and Ed Hastings to the County Personnel Committee. Chairman Shippy seconded the motion. The Board was polled:

Commissioner Desavedo motioned for the addition of the Parks and Recreation Center to be added to the ballot for the Primary Election in August. Commissioner Evans seconded the motion. After discussion Commissioner Desavedo amended his motion for the addition to go on the General Election Ballot in November, instead of the Primary Election Ballot. Commissioner Evans seconded the amendment. After further discussion Commissioner Desavedo tabled his motion until the first meeting in August which is August 6, 1996. Commissioner Evans seconded the amendment.
At 11:20AM County Attorney, Mike Maycock was excused from the meeting.
The Commissioners adjourned for lunch at 12:15PM and reconvened at 1:30PM.
Deputy County Attorney, Carol Seeger was present for the afternoon session.
Commissioner Desavedo motioned to approve up to $200,000 from 013.6140 for the purchase of the old Wyoming Department of Transportation property. Chairman Shippy seconded the motion. The Board was polled:

There being no further business to come before the Board of Commissioners the meeting was adjourned at 4:12PM. The next regular meeting of the Board of Commissioners will be held on Tuesday July 2, 1996 at 9:00AM in the Commissioners’ Chambers at the courthouse.
