The Campbell County Board of Commissioners met in regular session Tuesday July 2, 1996. Chairman Shippy called the meeting to order at 9:00AM and led the Pledge of Allegiance.
Present were David A. Shippy, Les Desavedo, Jan Evans, Commissioners; Susan F. Saunders, County Clerk; Michael Maycock, County Attorney; and Bryn N. Stewart, Director of Administrative Services.

Commissioner Evans motioned to approve the Acceptance Certificate between Campbell County and the Wyoming Department of Transportation for the SC-CFM 21-79, pavement, leveling and overlay projects on various roads in Campbell County. Chairman Shippy seconded the motion. The Board was polled:

A Public Hearing was held at 10:00AM for the review of a proposed amendment to the Campbell County Subdivision Regulations. The proposed amendment is to delete in its entirety the provisions of Section 8 dealing with Dedication of Public Lands, and replace all of the language of Section 8 with the following provision, “Provisions for Park Lands will be determined as set forth by the Campbell County Parks and Recreation Department Board of Directors, as approved by the County Commissioners”.
Chairman Shippy motioned to approve the Proposed Amendment of the Campbell County Subdivision Regulations of Section 8: Dedication of Public Lands. The amendment was approved as “Provisions for Park Lands will be determined as set forth by the Campbell County Parks and Recreation Department Board of Directors”, as recommended by the Planning Commission with the planning recommendations being met. Commissioner Desavedo seconded the motion. The Board was polled:

A Public Hearing was held at 10:15AM for the purpose of reviewing a zoning request for landowners in the Big Sky Estates Subdivision. The request is to zone the entirety of Big Sky Estates Subdivision as R-S, Residential Suburban, the subdivision is located approximately eight miles to the west of Gillette lying to the north of Interstate 90 and Eight Mile Subdivision.
Commissioner Desavedo motioned to approve Case No. 96.08Z, Item: Zoning Request - Big Sky Estates - Zone as R-S, Residential Suburban. Commissioner Evans seconded the motion. The Board was polled:

A Public Hearing was held at 10:30AM for the purpose of reviewing a zoning request for Judy C. Phillips. The request is to zone 31 acres as R-L, Rural Living District. Acreage is located in the NE1/4NE1/4, Section 7, T49N, R70W, the address of property is 332 Timber Creek Road.

Commissioner Desavedo motioned to ratify the actions of the County Attorney to purchase a house located in Lot 4, Block 8 of the Albany Addition, in the amount of $77,500. Commissioner Evans seconded the motion. The Board was polled:

Commissioner Evans motioned to approve the Memorandum of Understanding between the University of Wyoming and Campbell County, and to also approve the Extended Professional Service Agreement between the University of Wyoming and Campbell County. Chairman Shippy read into the minutes the Notice of Public Hearing on the County Budget.
Notice is hereby given that a public hearing on the proposed budget for Campbell County for the fiscal year ending June 30, 1997, which is now being considered by the Board of County Commissioners will be held at the Office of the County Commissioners in the County Courthouse at Gillette, Wyoming on the 15th day of July, 1996 at eight o’clock PM at which time any and all person interested may appear and offer written and/or oral comments regarding such budget. A copy of the entire proposed budget is available for public inspection at the Office of the County Clerk during regular office hours. A summary follows:
