The Campbell County Board of Commissioners met in regular session Tuesday, August 6, 1996. Chairman Shippy called the meeting to order at 9:00AM and led the Pledge of Allegiance.
Present were David A. Shippy, Les Desavedo, Jan Evans, Commissioners; Susan F. Saunders, County Clerk; Michael Maycock, County Attorney; and Bryn Stewart, Director of Administrative Services.

Chairman Shippy motioned to approve the low bid from S&S Construction in the amount of $50,313.40, for the Detention Center Parking Lot Reconstruction, Phase II project. Commissioner Evans seconded the motion. The Board was polled:

Commissioner Desavedo motioned to approve the General Utility Easement between Campbell County and the City of Gillette for the following described tract of land:
A strip of land situated in Lot 1 of the Rockpile Museum Addition. Chairman Shippy seconded the motion. The Board was polled:

Commissioner Desavedo motioned to approve the request for variance from the County Sign Regulation, Section 23 of the Campbell County Zoning Regulations, to relocate a billboard that is currently within the planned intersection of Highway 59 and Southern Drive. Commissioner Evans seconded the motion. The Board was polled:

Commissioner Evans motioned to approve up to $8,283 for the re-casing of a well for Campbell County Parks and Recreation. After discussion, Commissioner Evans withdrew her motion.
Chairman Shippy motioned to remove from the table the Public Hearing, from July 15, 1996 at 10:00AM on the Lomas Pintadas Subdivision. Commissioner Desavedo seconded the motion. The Board was polled:

At 10:00AM the Public Hearing on the rezoning request to zone Tracts 2a, 2b, and the west 501.91 feet of Tract 2c, Lomas Pintadas Subdivision, as Mobile Home District, requested by Paul Eby was closed due to Mr. Eby’s withdrawal of the request.
A Public Hearing was held at 10:00AM for the request to zone the proposed Lone Tree Estates Subdivision as R-R, Rural Residential District. The proposed subdivision is located approximately ten miles west of Gillette via I-90, and Wild Horse Creek Road, legally described as the E1/2NE1/4SE1/4, Section 11, and the N1/2NE1/4, Section 14, T49N, R74W, Sixth PM.
Chairman Shippy motioned to approve Case No. 96.11Z, Item: Zoning Request - Zone the proposed Lone Tree Estates Subdivision as R-R, Rural Residential. Commissioner Evans seconded the motion. The Board was polled:

Commissioner Desavedo motioned to approve Case No. 96.06COSP, Item: Final Plat - Fox Park Subdivision, Phase III, contingent upon the Planning Commissions considerations being met, and the items required by the Engineer’s Office to be completed.
