The Campbell County Board of Commissioners met in regular session Tuesday, September 3, 1996. Chairman Shippy called the meting to order at 9:00AM and led the Pledge of Allegiance.
Present were David A. Shippy, Les Desavedo, Jan Evans, Commissioners; Susan F. Saunders, County Clerk; Michael Maycock, County Attorney; and Bryn Stewart, Director of Administrative Services.

Commissioner Desavedo motioned to approve the Proclamation Random Acts of Kindness Week for the week of September 16, through September 20, 1996. Chairman Shippy seconded the motion. The Board was polled:

Commissioner Evans motioned to approve payment of the dental appeal for an employee of the Children’s Center. Chairman Shippy seconded the motion. The Board was polled:

A Public Hearing was held at 10:00AM for the purpose of a zoning request for Frank Cina. The proposal is to zone the proposed Big Sky Estates Subdivision, Phase II, as R-S, Residential Suburban District. The proposed subdivision is legally described as the NW1/4, Section 5, T49N, R72W, and located adjacent to Eight Mile and Big Sky Estates Subdivisions which are approximately eight miles west of Gillette and north of Interstate 90.
Commissioner Evans motioned to approve Case No. 96.13Z, Item: Zoning request - Big Sky Estates, Phase II - Zone as R-S, Residential Suburban District. Commissioner Desavedo seconded the motion. The Board was polled:

A Public Hearing was held at 10:15AM for the purpose of hearing a zoning request for Linda Meuret. The proposal is to zone the proposed Northview Estates Subdivision as R-R, Rural Residential District which lies in the E1/2SW1/4NW1/4, E1/2NW1/4SW1/4, Section 13, T50N, R72W. The subdivision is located along Kluver County Road and west of Garner Lake County Road.
Chairman Shippy motioned to approve Case No. 96.14Z, Item: Rezoning Request - Request is to rezone the proposed Northview Estates Subdivision from A-L, Agriculture to R-R, Rural Residential, contingent upon the Planning Commission’s recommendation of the plat being completed and filed in the County Clerk’s Office. Commissioner Desavedo seconded the motion. The Board was polled:

Commissioner Desavedo motioned to approve Case No. 96.14COSP, Item: Sundog Subdivision, Resub of lots 8&9, Block 2 with the waiving of the disclosure statement. Chairman Shippy seconded the motion. The Board was polled:
All Voted - AyeCarried.
Commissioner Evans motioned to approve Case No. 96.13COSP, Item: Final Plat - Proposed Lone Tree Estates Subdivision with the elimination of #13 of the planning considerations. Commissioner Desavedo seconded the motion provided it is contingent upon the plat being held until a final check can be done on the road, and waiving of the disclosure bond. Commissioner Evans concurred. The Board was polled:

The Commissioners adjourned for lunch at 11:15AM and reconvened at 1:30PM.
Chairman Shippy motioned to approve the Public Facilities Agreement Abandoned Mine Lands Project 23, Amendment No. 2. Commissioner Evans seconded the motion. The Board was polled:

Commissioner Desavedo motioned to approve the Agreement between the City of Gillette and Campbell County concerning the operation and use of an Animal Control Shelter. Chairman Shippy seconded the motion. The Board was polled:

The Commissioners adjourned into a workshop at 2:05PM and reconvened at 3:50PM.
