The Campbell County Board of Commissioners met in a regular session, Tuesday, December 17, 1996. Chairman Shippy called the meeting to order at 9:00AM and led the Pledge of Allegiance.
Present was David A. Shippy, Les Desavedo, Jan Evans, Commissioners; Susan F. Saunders, County Clerk, Michael A. Maycock, County Attorney; and Bryn N. Stewart, Director of Administrative Services.

Commissioner Desavedo motioned to approve the consent agenda with the following correction: The transfer of $400 should be from 721.6039, Compensation Adjustment, to 721.6024, Salaries Wages Part Time Regular, instead of 721.6023. Chairman Shippy seconded the motion. The Board was polled:

Chairman Shippy motioned to approve the Settlement Agreement between Union Pacific Railroad Company, and Missouri Pacific Railroad Company and Campbell County. Commissioner Evans seconded the motion. The Board was polled:

Commissioner Evans motioned to approve the Release of Retainage from the escrow account for Norton Construction on the Gillette Campus Reroof project. Commissioner Desavedo seconded the motion. The Board was polled:

Commissioner Desavedo motioned to approve signing of the Joint Agreement between the City of Gillette, and Campbell County on the Force Road Design. Chairman Shippy seconded the motion. The Board was polled:

A Public Hearing was held at 10:00AM for renewal of the following County Liquor Licenses:

Commissioner Evans motioned to approve the renewal of the County Liquor Licenses as presented, contingent upon the approval of the Wyoming Liquor Commission. Chairman Shippy seconded the motion. The Board was polled:

Commissioner Evans motioned to approve upto $6,510 from Commissioners Capital Contingency to replace broken equipment in the County Assessor’s Office. Chairman Shippy seconded the motion. The Board was polled:

Commissioner Desavedo motioned to approve the Affidavit of Election of Coverage for Elected County Officials with Wyoming Workers Safety & Compensation for volunteer coverage on Elected Officials. Chairman Shippy seconded the motion. The Board was polled:

Commissioner Evans motioned to approve the vacation carryover for Employee #101101 , and Employee #101194, as per the County Personnel Policy. Chairman Shippy seconded the motion. The Board was polled:

Chairman Shippy motioned to approve the amendment to correct the name on the Order calling for Election, the name should read High Country Improvement and Service District instead of Country Estates Improvement & Service District. Commissioner Desavedo seconded the motion. The Board was polled:

Chairman Shippy motioned to appoint Commissioner Jan Evans as a representative to the WCCA Board of Directors for a two year term. Commissioner Desavedo seconded the motion. The Board was polled:

The Commissioners adjourned at 11:40AM.
The Commissioners reconvened into a special meeting at 3:15PM.

Linda Lynch was appointed to serve on the Campbell County Fair Board. This action will be ratified at the January 7, 1997 meeting.
There being no further business to come before the Board of Commissioners, the meeting was adjourned at 3:20PM. The next regular meeting of the Board of Commissioners will be held Tuesday, January 7, 1997 at 9:00AM in the Commissioners’ Chambers of the courthouse.
