The Campbell County Board of Commissioners met in regular session Tuesday, October 7, 1997. Chairman Desavedo called the meeting to order at 9:00 AM and led the Pledge of Allegiance.
Present were Jan Evans, Fred L. Oedekoven, Les Desavedo, Commissioners; Teresa Blackford, Deputy County Clerk; Carol Seeger, Deputy County Attorney, and Bryn N. Stewart, Director of Administrative Services.

Commissioner Evans motioned to approve the bid from Powder River Heating and Air Conditioning, Inc. in the amount of $69,920.00 for the replacement of the Detention Center Boiler Pipe. Commissioner Oedekoven seconded the motion. The Board was polled:
All Voted -Aye Carried.
Commissioner Oedekoven motioned to reallocate the balance of accounts for the following Improvement and Service Districts: Antelope Valley, Sundog, Peoples, McKenney and Ward Creek from their specific line item to the General Grants Account. Commissioner Evans seconded the motion. The Board was polled:
All Voted -Aye Carried.
Commissioner Evans motioned to approve the Disclosure Statement and Correction Plat for Blocks, 1,2, and 3 and Resubdivision for Lot 1, Block 2 of the Rockpile Park Addition. Commissioner Oedekoven seconded the motion. The Board was polled:
All Voted -Aye Carried.
Commissioner Oedekoven motioned to approve the Indemnity and Hold Harmless Agreement with Ralph and Frances Oswald. Commissioner Evans seconded the motion. The Board was polled:
All Voted -Aye Carried.
Commissioner Oedekoven motioned to pay the Council of Community Services 5 cents per pound for the football players bench press challenge; not to exceed $500.00 from the contingency fund. Commissioner Evans seconded the motion. The Board was polled:
All Voted -Aye Carried.
The Public Hearing scheduled for 10:00 AM was withdrawn.
Commissioner Evans motioned to approve the proposed road crossing on Garner Lake Road for KFX Fuels. Commissioner Oedekoven seconded the motion. The Board was polled:
All Voted -Aye Carried.
Commissioner Oedekoven motioned to approve the County Treasurer’s Abstract Statement for fiscal year 1996-97. Commissioner Evans seconded the motion. The Board was polled:
All Voted -Aye Carried.
Commissioner Evans motioned to approve the appointment of Jim Hastings and Gregg Mentzel to the Campbell County Local Emergency Planning Committee and the removal of Marlene Claflin, Tom Johnson and Corbin Moberg from the same committee. Commissioner Oedekoven seconded the motion. The Board was polled:

Commissioner Evans motioned to approve the appointment of David King as Campbell County Emergency Management Coordinator. Commissioner Oedekoven seconded the motion. The Board was polled:

Commissioner Oedekoven motioned to approve the Resolution declaring October 13-19 as Random Acts of Kindness Week. Commissioner Evans seconded the motion. The Board was polled:

A Public Hearing was held at 10:15 AM regarding the rezoning request Case 97.10Z, for Tract B, Williams Subdivision from A-L, Agricultural, to C-1 General Commercial.
