The Campbell County Board of Commissioners met in regular session Tuesday, December 2, 1997. Chairman Desavedo called the meeting to order at 9:00 AM and led the Pledge of Allegiance.
Present were Jan Evans, Fred O. Oedekoven, Les Desavedo, Commissioners; Susan F. Saunders, County Clerk; Michael A. Maycock, County Attorney, and Bryn N. Stewart, Director of Administrative Services.

Commissioner Oedekoven motioned to approve the Acceptance Certificate for the Airport Project IRP 17-83 Airport Road, Phase 1. Commissioner Evans seconded the motion. The Board was polled:

Commissioner Evans motioned to approve spending $3,360 from Commissioners Capital Contingency for two network computers for the Commissioner’s office. Commissioner Oedekoven seconded the motion. The Board was polled.

Commissioner Evans motioned to approve the Smoking Cessation Contract between the Division of Public Health and the Campbell County Health Department. Commissioner Oedekoven seconded the motion. The Board was polled:

Commissioner Oedekoven motioned to approve closing the courthouse at 12:00 PM on December 24, 1997. Commissioner Evans seconded the motion. The Board was polled:

Commissioner Oedekoven motioned to approve the partial release of retainage in the amount of $15,000 from escrow on Hladky Construction for the Campbell County Airport Terminal project. Commissioner Evans seconded the motion. The Board was polled:

Commissioner Oedekoven motioned to remove the stipulation that a six foot high privacy fence be constructed within three months on Special Use permit Case No. 97.05SUP for Hibbs Auto Body. This special Use permit was approved August 5, 1997. Commissioner Evans seconded the motion. The Board was polled:

A Public Hearing was held at 10:00 AM for the purpose of hearing a rezoning request for Ben Doud. The petition is to rezone an 8.71 acre portion of the SW1/4 of the NE1/4 of Section 13, T49N, R72W, along Union Chapel Road and HWY 59, from A-L, Agricultural, to C-1, General Commercial, and a 12.58 acre tract to the south and east from A-L, Agricultural, to I-1, Light Industrial.
Commissioner Oedekoven motioned to approve the C-1, General Commercial portion of Zoning Request Case No. 97.13Z and table the action on the I-1, Light Industrial request until action is completed approving modification of the Land use Map. Commissioner Evans seconded the motion. The Board was polled:
