The Campbell County Board of Commissioners met in regular session Tuesday, April 18, 2000. Chairman Evans called the meeting to order at 9:00 AM, Pastor Bryan Wittekind led in prayer and Chairman Evans led the Pledge of Allegiance.
Present were Janet K. Evans, Fred L. Oedekoven, Alan Weakly, Commissioners; Susan F. Saunders, County Clerk; Mike Fuller, County Attorney, and Bryn N. Stewart, Director of Administrative Services.

Commissioner Weakly motioned to approve the Resolution supporting the CSBG application from Council of Community Service for CSBG discretionary funds in the amount of $28,750. Commissioner Oedekoven seconded the motion. The Board was polled:

Commissioner Weakly motioned to approve the Resolution supporting the CSBG application from Youth Emergency Services for CSBG discretionary funds in the amount of $3,840. Commissioner Oedekoven seconded the motion. The Board was polled:

Commissioner Weakly motioned to award the facilities carpeting bid to Ed's Paint and Wallpaper in the amount of $21,582.00. Commissioner Oedekoven seconded the motion. The Board was polled:

Commissioner Oedekoven motion to allow the landfill, effective May 1, to stop deliveries to the baler station at 4:00 p.m. Commissioner Weakly seconded the motion. The Board was polled:

Commissioner Oedekoven motioned to approve spending not more than $2,905 from Capital Contingency to purchase a plastic storage trailer at the landfill. Commissioner Weakly seconded the motion. The Board was polled:
All Voted - Aye Carried.
A Public Hearing was held by the Board of Commissioners acting as the Board of Adjustment at 9:45 AM for the purpose of hearing a request from John Melgaard for a variance to the setback requirements on his industrial lot at 722 Sinclair Street.
Commissioner Oedekoven to grant a variance to John Melgaard at 722 Sinclair Street allowing his fuel storage facility to be located not closer than 30 feet from the property line. Commissioner Weakly seconded the motion. The Board was polled:

Commissioner Oedekoven motioned to approve spending not more than $2,650 from Commissioners Capital Contingency to buy a van trailer for the landfill and for this to be addressed at budget time out of recycling revenue. Commissioner Weakly seconded the motion. The Board was polled:
All Voted - Aye Carried.
Commissioner Oedekoven motioned to approve to approve spending up to $5,192.70 from Commissioners Contingency to pay for the Wolff property right-of-way acquisition along Union Chapel Road. Commissioner Weakly seconded the motion. The Board was polled:
All Voted - Aye Carried.
Commissioner Oedekoven motioned to approve the agreement between the Wyoming Department of Transportation and Campbell County for an Historical Exhibit and Restrooms at Lasting Legacy Park. Commissioner Weakly seconded the motion. The Board was polled:
All Voted - Aye Carried.
Commissioner Oedekoven motioned to waive the subdivision regulations of Campbell County for the four 10 acre lots in the NE1/4SE1/4 Section15, T49N R74W. Commissioner Weakly seconded the motion. The Board was polled.
All Voted - Aye Carried.
The Commissioners adjourned for lunch at 11:30 AM and reconvened into regular session at 1:00 PM.
The Commissioner adjourned into an executive session for possible litigation at 1:00 PM and reconvened into regular session at 1:15 PM.
Commissioner Oedekoven motioned to approve spending up to $9,441.95 from Commissioner's Capital Contingency for fencing along the Hoadley Road. Commissioner Weakly seconded the motion. The Board was polled:

Commissioner Oedekoven motioned to approve the Commissioners Proclamation Declaring May 4, 2000, as "National Day of Prayer" in Campbell County. Commissioner Weakly seconded the motion. The Board was polled:

Commissioner Weakly motioned to approve the Right of Way Agreement along Garner Lake Road Extension between KN Energy and Campbell County and to ratify the Chairman's signing of the agreement on Thursday, April 13, 2000. Commissioner Oedekoven seconded the motion. The Board was polled:
All Voted - Aye Carried.
County Attorney Mike Fuller was excused from the meeting at 1:30 PM.
The Commissioners adjourned into a workshop at 1:40 PM and reconvened into regular session at 4:00 PM.
There being no further business to come before the Board of Commissioners the meeting was adjourned at 4:20 PM. The next regular meeting will be held May 2, 2000 at 9:00 AM in the Commissioners Chambers in the courthouse.
