The Campbell County Board of Commissioners met in regular session Thursday, May 23, 2002. Chairman Mader called the meeting to order at 9:00 A.M. Pastor Dan Morgan led in prayer and Chairman Mader led the Pledge of Allegiance.
Present were Janet K. Evans, Fred L. Oedekoven, Christopher Knapp, Alan Weakly, Craig G. Mader, Commissioners; Susan F. Saunders, County Clerk; Jim Schermetzler, Deputy County Attorney, and Clint Beaver, Director of Administrative Services.

Commissioner Evans moved to appoint Alice Bratton to the Children's Developmental Services of Campbell County Board. Commissioner Oedekoven seconded the motion. The Board was polled:

Commissioner Oedekoven moved to appoint Scott Benson and Bret Wolz to the Planning Commission Board. Commissioner Weakly seconded the motion. The Board was polled:

A Public Hearing was held at 10:00 A.M. for the purpose of zoning Eagle Rock Subdivision, 129.45 acres in NE1/4 Section 13, T46N, R72W, to R-R Rural Residential.
Commissioner Oedekoven moved that the Board approve Case 02.05COZ to zone the proposed Eagle Rock Subdivision R-R, Rural Residential, upon filing of a final subdivision plat. Commissioner Weakly seconded the motion. The Board was polled:

Commissioner Oedekoven moved that the Board approve the Resolution Governing Fireworks Storage for the period of June 1, 2002 through May 31, 2003 as presented. Commissioner Evans seconded the motion. The Board was polled:

Commissioner Weakly moved that the Board authorize the purchase of a postage machine for the Clerk's Office in the amount of $13,565 from the Capital Contingency Account. Commissioner Knapp seconded the motion. The Board was polled:

Commissioner Weakly moved that the Board approve the transfer of three surplus IBM terminals to the Johnson County Treasurer, as recommended by the ITS Department. Commissioner Evans seconded the motion. The Board was polled:

Commissioner Evans moved that the Board approve the Resolution Determining the Public Convenience of Polling Places Outside of Precinct Boundaries as present by the County Clerk. Commissioner Weakly seconded the motion. The Board was polled:

Commissioner Weakly moved the Board approve the Resolution Determining the Number of Committeemen & Committeewomen for each Precinct as presented by the County Clerk. Commissioner Knapp seconded the motion. The Board was polled:

There being no further business to come before the Board of Commissioners the meeting was adjourned at 11:20 A.M. The next regular scheduled meeting of the Board of Commissioners will be Tuesday, June 4, 2002 at 9:00 A.M. in the Commissioners Chambers of the courthouse.
