The Campbell County Board of Commissioners met in regular session Tuesday, June 4, 2002. Chairman Mader called the meeting to order at 9:00 A.M. Pastor Gary Maness led in prayer and Chairman Mader led the Pledge of Allegiance.
Present were Janet K. Evans, Fred L. Oedekoven, Alan Weakly, Craig G. Mader, Commissioners; Susan F. Saunders, County Clerk; Jim Schermetzler, Deputy County Attorney, and Clint Beaver, Director of Administrative Services. Commissioner Chris Knapp was absent from the meeting.
A Public Hearing was held at 10:00 AM for the purpose of hearing a petition to form Freedom Hills Improvement and Service District.

Commissioner Oedekoven moved that the Board grant its consent to the transfer of the Cable TV Franchise from AT&T Broadband to Bresnan Broadband Holdings, LLC. Commissioner Evans seconded the motion. The Board was polled:

Commissioner Oedekoven moved to award the Parks & Recreation Shop equipment storage bid in the amount of $47,318 to Shober Builders. Commissioner Evans seconded the motion. The Board was polled:

Commissioner Evans moved that the Board set July 2, 2002 as the date for a public hearing to consider the petition for enlargement of the Wright Water & Sewer District. Commissioner Oedekoven seconded the motion. The Board was polled:
All Voted - Aye Carried.
Commissioner Oedekoven moved that the Board set July 2, 2002 as the date for a public hearing to consider the petition for enlargement of the Green Valley Estates Improvement & Service District. Commissioner Weakly seconded the motion. The Board was polled:

The Commissioners recessed for lunch at 11:35 AM and reconvened into regular session at 1:30 PM.
Commissioner Oedekoven moved to have the County Attorney request an Attorney General's opinion on who is responsible for payment of impanelment of a Grand Jury and the operation thereof, if the District Judge has reviewed the petition for a Grand Jury, and ordered said impanelment of the Grand Jury. Commissioner Weakly seconded the motion. The Board was polled:

The Commissioners went into an executive session for possible litigation at 2:10 PM and reconvened into regular session at 2:30 PM
Commissioner Weakly moved to deny Mr. and Mrs. Harry Adams governmental claim arising out of the May 25 and 26, 2000 alleged injury at the Detention Center. Commissioner Evans seconded the motion. The Board was polled:

Commissioner Oedekoven moved to vacate 15 feet on the south end of Rocky Point Drive. Commissioner Weakly seconded the motion. The Board was polled:

Commissioner Oedekoven moved that the Board set a hearing on the Application to Establish a Private Road filed by Duane and Sonja Walter for August 20, 2002. Commissioner Evans seconded the motion. The Board was polled:

Commissioner Weakly moved to appoint Daryl Morgan to the Bell Nob Golf Course Advisory Board. Commissioner Evans seconded the motion. The Board was polled:
All Voted - Aye Carried.
Commissioner Evans moved to appoint Sandra Hunter to the Library Board. Commissioner Oedekoven seconded the motion. The Board was polled:
All Voted - Aye Carried.
Commissioner Weakly moved that the Board approve the Memorandum of Understanding with the University of Wyoming, Cooperative Extension Service, as presented. Commissioner Evans seconded the motion. The Board was polled:
All Voted - Aye Carried.
There being no further business to come before the Board of Commissioners the meeting was adjourned at 4:50 PM. The next regular scheduled meeting of the Board of Commissioners will be Tuesday, June 18, 2002 at 9:00 A.M. in the Commissioners Chambers of the courthouse.
