Employee Benefit Overview

Paid Holidays per year for the calendar year of 2007 = 11

Vacation Accrual: 1 - 4 years = 12 day/year Accrual Cap = 250 hrs/yr
  5-9 years = 17 days/year
  10 - 14 years

= 22 days /year

  15 - 19 years = 24 1/2 days/year
  20 - 24 years = 27 days/year
  25+ years = 29 1/2 days/year

Regular, part-time employees working at least 20 hours per week are eligible for vacation on a pro-rata basis.

Sick Leave accrual = 12 paid sick days per year.

The Medical Benefit Plan is self-insured, self-funded by Campbell County Government. Premiums are currently 100% paid by the County for regular, eligible employees who work 40 hours/week; pro-rated for employees working 30-40 hours/week. Those working 20-29 hours/week may participate at their own cost.

The Dental Benefit Plan is self-insured, self-funded by Campbell County Government. Premiums currently are 100% paid by the County for regular, eligible employees who work 40 hours/week; pro-rated for employees working 30-40 hours/week. Those working 20-29 hours/week may participate at their own cost.

Life and Accidental Death and Dismemberment (AD&D) Insurance is provided by a third party insurance company. Life insurance is included in the premium paid for health insurance. Employee basic life coverage is equal to 1 X annual salary to a maximum of $50,000. Dependent coverage is equal to $2,000. Employee AD&D is equal to the amount of basic life coverage. Supplemental basic life insurance is available for employee and dependents at the employee's expense.

Supplemental Life Insurance: This insurance may be purchased by the employee for themselves and their spouse to maximum of $300,000 for employee and $200,000 for the spouse.

Long-Term Disability (LTD) Insurance is provided by a third party insurance company. Benefit for eligible, qualifying employees is 60% of monthly earnings to a maximum of $5,000 per month, less any other benefit received. Benefits are subject to a 180-day elimination period.

Flexible Benefits Plan allows employees to contribute pre-tax dollars for health, dependent care and vision care expenses and when applicable, premiums.

Retirement is provided through the Wyoming Retirement System. The employee contribution is 5.57% and 5.68% for the employer of the employee's gross pay. Currently, both the employee and the employer contribution is funded by Campbell County. The Plan is a defined benefit pension plan, and employees must be classified as regular employees, working at least 20 hours/week to be eligible to participate.

Optional Vision Insurance is provided by Vision Service Plan (VSP). Employees pay 100% of the premium.

Employee Assistance Plan (EAP) is provided by the County for all regular employees working at least 20 hours a week. The service is free and confidential.

Retiree Medical Benefit - Eligible employees and their spouse may continue their medical coverage by paying 100% of the premium. Employees must be at least 60 years of age and have at least 17 years of service with Campbell County.
