Position Summary: The Campbell County Public Works Department is accepting applications to fill a vacancy for a full-time Landfill Equipment Operator. This position performs routine semi-skilled and skilled work in the operation of equipment, machinery and tools used in construction, maintenance and repair activities. Operate OTR semi-trucks, dump trucks, front-end loaders, and forklifts. May operate scraper and dozer as needed.

Requirements: High school education or equivalent required along with a valid CDL and 1 to 2 years of related experience minimum. Must be able to work every other Saturday.

Working Environment:
Significant exposure to extreme cold, heat, noise, working outdoors, fumes, dust, vibration, confining work space, chemicals, biological hazards, explosive materials, mechanical hazards, and electrical hazards.

Physical Activities:
Essential functions require maintaining physical condition necessary for significant physical activity such as sitting, standing, walking, kneeling, crouching/stooping/squatting, crawling, twisting upper body, climbing, and lifting up to 50 lbs.
