Patrol
The Sheriff’s Office employs 24 deputies to serve the needs of the citizens of Campbell County. Deputies are responsible for investigating crimes, making traffic stops, keeping the peace, serving warrants and civil papers.
Investigations
The Sheriff’s Office employs 5 investigators to follow-up on any unsolved criminal cases which require further investigation to bring to a closure/arrest. They also investigate fraud, scams and bad checks. This division also provides the Crime Stoppers program for Campbell County.
Communications
The Communications division is responsible for dispatching deputies, fire and medical units to calls for service, and handling all 911 emergency calls. Dispatchers are highly trained law enforcement personnel who must respond immediately and appropriately to all calls for service.

K9 Units
The Sheriff’s Office currently has 3 K9 units. This is a team of an officer and a dog. The K9 units can be used to locate missing persons, detect illicit drugs or explosives and to back up patrol units on calls where the dog’s physical abilities may deter or prevent a violent confrontation.
Wright Substation
The Sheriff’s Office has 4 officers stationed at the Wright Substation to provide services to the Town of Wright and southern Campbell County. The substation is located at 515 Wright Blvd in Wright.
Animal Control
Campbell County Sheriff’s Department Animal Control officers take in hundreds of dogs and cats each year. Our Officers rescue lost and stray animals and pick up animals that have bitten people.
Posse
The Sheriff’s Posse currently has 17 volunteer members. The posse serves a dual role, as they also make up the Campbell County Search & Rescue team.
