Civil Process Service

The Campbell County Sheriff's Office is responsible for serving court orders, subpoenas, replevins, eviction notices, property executions, summons and complaints, and other civil papers in Campbell County, Wyoming. The process fees are $30.00 per defendant.
Please make checks payable to:"Campbell County Sheriff".
Deputies will make up to three attempts to serve the defendant with the paperwork at the address you supply. To check if the paperwork was successfully served please call (307) 687-6164.

Persons outside of Campbell County may request civil paper service. Please send the papers along with the appropriate fees to:

To retrieve property that has been seized by execution, you must have a release from the court.

Records Requests

Copies of accident and incident reports can be obtained at the Sheriff’s Office, or call (307)687-6161. There is a fee for copies. Please see the fee schedule.

Concealed Weapons Permits

Concealed Weapons Permits and Renewal Permits can be obtained at the Sheriff’s Office. Fees are as follows:

Concealed Weapons Permit:
$64.00 to DCI (must be money order)
$15.00 to Sheriff’s Office (cash or check)
Sex Offender Registration

Renewal Permit:
$45.00 to DCI (must be money order)
$ 5.00 to Sheriff’s Office (cash or check)
add $10 for late renewal up to 6 months
after 6 months new application required

Sex Offender Registration

Pursuant to W.S.S. 7-19-301-307, persons convicted of certain offenses are required to register as sex offenders.
An offender must register immediately upon release from confinement. An offender who is not subject to a term of confinement must register immediately after imposition of the sentence.
An offender who moves from another state to Wyoming must register within 40 days of entering Wyoming.
An offender who knowingly fails to register is guilty of a high misdemeanor punishable by a fine of up to $750, imprisonment for no more than one year, or both. An offender convicted of a subsequent violation of knowingly failing to register is guilty of a felony punishable by a fine of $1,000, imprisonment for no more than five years, or both.

Abandoned Vehicle Titles

To obtain a "sheriff's title" for a vehicle, you must auction the vehicle at a Sheriff's sale. An information packet on abandoned vehicles can be obtained at the Sheriff's Office, or call (307)687-6160 for assistance.

Sheriff's Sales

Sheriff's Sales may be scheduled for abandoned vehicles, property seized by execution, lien sales and foreclosures. The cost for holding a Sheriff's sale is $10.00 plus $7.50 for each certificate of sale.There is no charge for execution sales.To schedule a sale, call (307)687-6164.

Records Checks

The Sheriff's Office will search local records. If further information is required, there will be a charge for fingerprints and a charge for processing by DCI.
