Jeani Stone

Jeani L. Stone, Campbell County & Prosecuting Attorney

Jeani took office in January 2003, and was re-elected to a second four-year term in November 2006. She graduated from the University of Wyoming with a degree in Administration of Justice and Sociology and obtained her Juris Doctorate in 1996. Jeani primarily handles juvenile cases, which include delinquencies, child in need of supervision and neglect cases. Jeani is active in the Coalition Promoting a Drug-Free Community, Underage Drinking Coalition and is on the Child Support Authority Board. Jeani oversees the operation of the Juvenile Diversion, Early Age Intervention and Teen Intervention Programs and the Crime Victim Witness Office. Jeani received the 2005 Prevent Child Abuse “Knighthood of the Child” and 2006 DFS Hero of the Year awards for her advocacy for abused and neglected children.


William J. Edelman, Chief Deputy County & Prosecuting Attorney

Bill was appointed as the Chief Deputy County & Prosecuting Attorney. Bill handles primarily felony cases and drug prosecutions. Bill has also been appointed to serve as a Special Assistant U.S. Attorney for Wyoming and works closely with the Department of Criminal Investigations in drug related crimes in Campbell County. Bill handles the classification of sex offenders and serves as the County Attorney’s representative on the Volunteers of America Board.

Jack C

Jack Sundquist - Deputy County & Prosecuting Attorney

Jack served as a Deputy County Attorney from 1981-85 and returned to the County Attorney’s Office in 1995. Jack is primarily responsible for the prosecution of felony offenses and also serves on the operational team of the Campbell County/City of Gillette Adult Drug Court. Jack is active as a volunteer firefighter with the Gillette/Campbell County Fire Department.


William V. Eichelberger - Deputy County & Prosecuting Attorney

Bill joined the County Attorney’s Office in July, 2004. Bill previously served as the Fremont County Attorney and as an Assistant United States Attorney. Bill has been practicing law for 27 years, including 9 years as a prosecutor and one and one-half years as a Justice of the Peace. He is currently assigned to felony prosecutions and juvenile matters and handles a majority of the drug endangered children cases.

Carol

Carol J. Seeger - Deputy County & Prosecuting Attorney

Carol worked at the County Attorney’s Office from January 1995 until April, 2000 and later returned in January, 2003. Carol is primarily responsible for handling civil matters for the County. Carol advises the County Commissioners, County boards and departments. Carol also oversees involuntary commitment proceedings. Carol regularly advises the Airport Board and Planning Commission at their monthly meetings. Carol currently serves on the AVA Art Board.


Wendy M. Bartlett - Deputy County & Prosecuting Attorney

Wendy graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Administration of Justice in 1987 and a Juris Doctorate in 1990, both from the University of Wyoming. She worked for five years in private practice and as a contract City Prosecutor for Gillette. Wendy served one year with the Sixth Judicial District Child Support Authority prior to serving nine years as the Legal Advisor for the Campbell County Sheriff's Office and Campbell County Fire Department. Wendy began with the County Attorney’s Office in November, 2003. Wendy prosecutes misdemeanor offenses in Judge William S. Edwards' courtroom. Additionally, she oversees misdemeanor operations in the County Attorney's Office. Wendy received the 2003 Girl Scouts Woman of Distinction Award.

Charlene Edwards

Charlene Edwards - Deputy County & Prosecuting Attorney

Charlene has been employed at the Campbell County Attorney's Office since March, 1999. Charlene is currently assigned as the Deputy County Attorney to the Sheriff’s Department and prosecutes juvenile matters including delinquencies, child neglect and termination of parental rights. Charlene is the County Attorney’s Office representative on the Juvenile and Family Drug Court Board and is a member of its operational team. Charlene was named a Department of Family Services' Hero for the Second Quarter of 2004 for her work with juveniles.

   

 

Brooke Steele

Brooke K. Steele - Deputy County & Prosecuting Attorney

Brooke graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Criminal Justice from the University of Wyoming in 2002, a Master of Public Administration as well as a Juris Doctorate in 2005, both from the University of South Dakota. Brooke has been employed with the Campbell County Attorney's Office since March of 2007. Before moving to Wyoming, Brooke prosecuted in both Lawrence and Meade County, South Dakota. Brooke is primarily responsible for the prosecution of misdemeanor offenses in Judge Terrill R. Tharp's courtroom.

 

Daniel E. Reade - Deputy County & Prosecuting Attorney

Dan graduated with his Bachelor of Arts in English from the University of Wyoming in the Spring of 2002 and received his Juris Doctorate (also from UW) in the Spring of 2005. While in law school, he served on the defender aid clinic and, upon passing the bar, went into private practice in Gillette. He also served briefly as a contract public defender. As a public defender, the bulk of his work was in the juvenile and circuit courts, though he did work a few felony cases. Dan joined the County Attorney’s Office in September of 2007 and deals primarily with misdemeanor cases in Judge William S. Edwards’ Court.
