The duties of the County Attorney’s Office include:

• Representation of the State of Wyoming in all criminal proceedings before the Circuit, District and Juvenile Court, Felonies and Misdemeanors.
• Initiating civil proceedings for neglect, delinquent children and children in need of supervision in the Juvenile Court.
• Initiating involuntary commitment proceedings for mentally ill individuals.
• Providing legal advise to all county entities regarding civil matters.
• Classifies sexual offenders.
