The Campbell County Attorney is an elected county-wide position, which serves a four-year term. Jeani Stone serves as the Campbell County & Prosecuting Attorney, after taking office in January, 2003.
The office has ten appointed Deputy County Attorneys who assist the County Attorney.
The duties of the County Attorney’s Office include:

Representation of the State of Wyoming in all criminal proceedings before the Circuit, District and Juvenile Court.

Initiating civil proceedings for neglect, delinquent children and children in need of supervision in the Juvenile Court.

Initiating involuntary commitment proceedings for mentally ill individuals.

Providing legal advise to all county entities regarding civil matters.

Overseeing the operation of the Crime Victim/Witness Office, Juvenile Diversion, Teen Intervention Program, and Early Age Intervention Program.

The County Attorney’s Office is active in the Adult Drug Court and Juvenile and Family Drug Court Programs.
