Campbell County Attorney's Office

 

The Campbell County Attorney is an elected county-wide position, which serves a four-year term. Jeani Stone serves as the Campbell County & Prosecuting Attorney, after taking office in January, 2003.

The office has ten appointed Deputy County Attorneys who assist the County Attorney. 

The duties of the County Attorney’s Office include:

  • Representation of the State of Wyoming in all criminal proceedings before the Circuit, District and Juvenile Court.
  • Initiating civil proceedings for neglect, delinquent children and children in need of supervision in the Juvenile Court.
  • Initiating involuntary commitment proceedings for mentally ill individuals.
  • Providing legal advise to all county entities regarding civil matters.
  • Overseeing the operation of the Crime Victim/Witness Office, Juvenile Diversion, Teen Intervention Program, and Early Age Intervention Program.
  • The County Attorney’s Office is active in the Adult Drug Court and Juvenile and Family Drug Court Programs.
