Hazard Mitigation

The Campbell County Emergency Management Department
is updating the Hazard Mitigation Plan!

A Final Draft of the plan has been forewarded to FEMA and is currently under review and hopefully, approval by FEMA.

This plan was the result of hard work by the members of our Local Planning Team, and we sincerely appreciate their efforts.

RADAR STUDY
Using funds obtained by Senator Mike Enzi, a study was completed in January, 2009
into the feasibility of solving the weather radar gap in northeast Wyoming. Click here to download a copy of that study.

By the way, the decision by the powers that be at the National Weather Service in Washington D.C. was to NOT pursue the solutions suggested in the report, and no action is planned to resolve the lack of radar coverage.
