Campbell County Parks and Recreation offers youth basketball for both Gillette and Wright.
The Gillette tab below represents youth basketball events in Gillette, while the Wright tab represents youth basketball activities in Wright.
Bantam Basketball Fall 2020
You may register for basketball in house at the Recreation Center or online
1st - 3rd Grade Boys and Girls
This program will introduce young children to the sport of basketball; basic rules and skills, while using lower baskets and smaller size basketballs. The primary goal is for the children to learn basic fundamentals and to have fun. Bantam Basketball is held on Saturdays at Thunder Basin High School Gymnasium, Recreation Center and a variety of elementary schools. All participants will receive a t-shirt.
Registration Dates: August 4th - September 15th
Practice and Games Begin: October 10th
Coaches Meeting: Thursday, October 1st at 5:30 p.m. - Recreation Center
**Coaches will contact players by October 6th**
Time: May vary according to game schedule
Location: Thunder Basin High School and various elementary gyms

Girls 4th-6th Grade
The Campbell County Recreational basketball league provides an atmosphere of fun, friendly competition that allows youth to experience the joy of organized sports while promoting teamwork and good sportsmanship. The emphasis is recreational and is based on developing basketball skills. All participants will receive a jersey.
Registration Dates: August 4th - September 15th
Practice and Games Begins: October 17th
Coaches Meeting: Thursday, October 1st at 6 p.m. in the Recreation Center

Time: May vary according to game schedule
Location: Thunder Basin High School and the Campbell County Recreation Center

If participation numbers permit, the four team divisions will be: 1-2 grade boys, 1-2 grade girls, 3 grade boys and 3 grade girls. Practice times will be set by coaches and held at the Wright Recreation Center. Games will be played on Saturdays in Gillette. Volunteer coaches are needed for this program.

Basketball Camp
Wright Basketball Skills Clinic
This skills camp provides an opportunity to improve individual fundamentals in the game of basketball. Boys and girls will learn drills, skills and the philosophy of basketball; all taught by Coach Neely and his experienced staff.

- 9 - 12 Grade: 12:30 - 3:30 p.m.
Tuition: $10 per person includes shirt (All monies are paid at WJSH)
