    The Annual Used Book Sale kicks off Wednesday, September 26 with a Friends of the Library member-exclusive early-bird event from 6-8pm. Not a current Friend? Purchase your membership at the door. The sale continues through October 1 during regular library hours. Get great fiction, nonfiction, children’s, and young adult books priced at $2 for hardbacks and $1 for paperbacks Thursday and Friday. Bag Days will be Saturday through Monday when all books will be reduced to $5 per bag. Proceeds from this sale are used to support your libraries in Gillette and Wright. Stop in, get some great deals, and help your libraries!

    Youth Tennis lessons will be offered for all ages of youth and ability levels on Mondays for six weeks beginning October 8. Youth will be taught in small groups learning the basics and playing small scrimmage matches. Program runs from 7 - 8:00 p.m. through November 12.     Regular monthly meeting of the Rockpile Museum Association (RMA) board of directors. The RMA’s mission is to promote, support, and assist the Campbell County Rockpile Museum’s offerings of cultural, educational, and recreational opportunities by providing volunteer assistance and financial support. The RMA was formed in 1993, as a nonprofit organization. Its purpose is to assist in providing volunteers and finances for specific projects, including the improvement of the museum’s buildings and grounds, the purchase and preservation of its collections, and the presentation of programs, exhibitions, and events.

  2. Hap Stuart "Cowboy Poetry" Reading and Book Signing

    Gillette native Paul “Hap” Stuart will give a poetry reading and sign copies of his new book, Cowboy Poetry, at the Campbell County Rockpile Museum on Thursday, Sept. 20th, at 6:30 p.m. Copies of the book will be available for sale that evening, and a limited number will be available at the Museum’s gift shop after the 20th. Hap's parents and grandparents homesteaded 40 miles south of Gillette, Wyoming in 1917 and 1918. His parents were married in 1930 and were in the ranching business. Hap was born in Gillette in 1934 and attended school for 10 years in Campbell County, Wyoming. After three years in the United States Army, he returned to manage his uncle's ranch. He was married to the former Ruby Rossi in Gillette on September 6, 1957. Hap’s main hobby is writing and performing cowboy poetry for the purpose of recording events of his life experiences.
