10am-12pm  Writers Workshop lead by C. M. Wendelboe: A brief two-hour examination of techniques meant to help writers prepare their manuscript for submission to their chosen market. This workshop will focus on traditionally published works of short story to novel length, and what writers should to incorporate into their stories for success.
Wendelboe (Cheyenne, WY) is the author of 14 books including the Spirit Road mysteries (Penguin). During his thirty-eight-year career in law enforcement, he served successful stints as a sheriff’s deputy, police chief, policy adviser, and supervisor for several agencies. He was a patrol supervisor when he retired to pursue his true vocation as a fiction writer.

12-1pm  Lunch Break

1-2pm  Author Talks: C.M. Wendelboe • Megan Gebhart: When Gebhart was in college she challenged herself to have a single cup of coffee with a different person every week for a year. What started out as a strange, unconventional, and slightly awkward experiment transformed into a year filled with adventure, hardship, courage, and personal growth. Along the way she met a former Starbucks’ vice president, discussed recess politics with a first grader, and debated talent with the co-founder of Apple. The result is her book, "52 Cups of Coffee." Each cup delivers a daily dose of inspiration—a perfect pairing for a morning cup of joe.

2-4pm Author Fair featuring 21 regional authors. Check out what they've written here: CCPL Regional Author Fair
