CCPL Money Monday: Shopping for the Holidays on a Budget

Monday, November 18, 2019

Learn money saving strategies and tips for holiday shopping! Topics will include online shopping, where to find the best deals for your situation, and how to stretch your holiday dollar. Getting your credit card statement in January does not have to cause major stress, if you plan. Michelle Pierce, University of Wyoming (UW) Community Development Extension Educator, will help you shop wisely. Next month: Strategies to Pay Down Debt • January 13 (no December class)

Pierce will refer to several publications created with the guidance of Wyoming estate attorney Aaron Lyttle (Cheyenne, WY). They are designed to help families with the difficult steps needed before and when a death occurs.

The eleven estate planning publications are titled: Introduction to Estate Planning; Estate Planning Checklist: Information to Assemble Before Consulting Your Attorney; After a Death: What Steps are Needed?; Wyoming Wills: Some Suggestions for Getting the Most from Estate Planning; Death Certificates; A Walk Through Probate; Disinheritance; The Personal Property Memorandum; Guardianships and Conservatorships; Advance Health Care Directives; and Durable Power of Attorney.

Pierce states, as outlined in the information presented, “Self-help documents are no replacement for proper legal advice. Each family situation is unique, and one should always use an attorney to make final preparation and draw up the final documents.”

You can access the publications and more at: http://www.uwyo.edu/uwe/ (go to publications and type in estate).
