Inaugural Northeast Wyoming Archaeology Fair

Saturday, September 28, 2019

The Campbell County Rockpile Museum invites you to join us on Saturday, September 28, 2019 from 10a – 3pm for the Inaugural Northeast Wyoming Archaeology Fair. This event is packed full of interactive experiences that will take you back in time to the foodways, lifeways, and cultures of prehistoric Northeast Wyoming. We will be joined by guests from the Wyoming Archaeological Society, UW, BLM, and the Vore Buffalo Jump. Take down a Pronghorn using an atlatl and dart, identify stone tools, participate in mock digs, and as a special treat watch sled dogs demonstrate the use of Dog Travois at 11am and 2pm. There will be a variety of activities for all ages and this outdoor event will happen rain or shine. All fair events will take place below the Burlington Ditch north of the Rockpile Museum with parking available in the meadow off of 1st Avenue. The Museum Parking Lot will be reserved for Handicapped Parking Only with free shuttle service to the events below the Burlington Ditch.
