Campbell County Rockpile Museum Presents: Black & Yellow Theatre, Powder River Basin Voices from the Black Hills to Yellowstone is a guest experience that is offered twice on Saturdays. Using a mix of trained staff, volunteers, and contracted professionals this program is designed to allow guests the opportunity to interact with subject matter, events, and people that have shaped the Powder River Basin from pre-history to modern day. Using a variety of Interpretive Techniques, this experience will allow guests the opportunity to forge physical, emotional, and/or intellectual connections that enable guests to further understand and appreciate the natural and cultural history and environment of the Powder River Basin. Presentations can include, but are not limited to: hands-on, music, art, Living History portrayals, Gallery & Exhibit Talks, and a variety of other presentation styles
This experience is offered at 11am and 2pm on Saturdays, ideally the same program/presentation is offered to provide experiences to the before and after lunch audiences. Based on subject matter the location of presentations will vary from presenter to presenter with the 1st choice always being on the grounds of the Campbell County Rockpile Museum within the gallery spaces of the Main Museum Building, the Museum Annex, or any of the surrounding outdoor spaces located at 900 W. 2nd Street, Gillette, Wyoming.
