Wyoming Day Celebration at the Campbell County Rockpile Museum
On Tuesday, December 10th at 7:00 p.m. the Campbell County Rockpile Museum and the Campbell County League of Women Voters invite the public to this free, advanced, screening of the soon-to-be-released Wyoming PBS documentary: "The State of EQUALITY: Wyoming Women Get the Vote."
Join in the celebration of the signing into Wyoming law on December 10, 1869 – women of Wyoming had the right to vote, they could own property, have any job they wished, own a business, earn equal pay, and manage their own finances. This was 50 years before the rest of the country recognized women’s right to vote.
The Campbell County Historical Society will be on-hand and have their newly published book: "Wyoming Home of the Women’s Vote: 55 Amazing Campbell County Women" available for purchase. The cost is $15 and includes a deck of cards with each book purchased. Special “Amazing” guests will be in attendance and available to sign your book!
