[ARCHIVED] Campbell County Public Health Notified of First COVID-19 Confirmation

The patient is an adult female, who is being quarantined at home.

The Wyoming Department of Health is working closely with the Campbell County Public Health to monitor and assess the affected patient. Public Health is working with WHD Infectious Disease Epidemiology Unit to determine the source of the patient’s exposure.

This is an opportunity to remind the public that now is not the time to panic; instead, it is a reminder for all to remember the importance of proper hand washing, avoiding contact with ill people, stay home if you are sick and to practice social distancing.

While we hoped no one in Campbell County would be infected, we are well trained and prepared to handle this situation.

At this time, we are unaware of anyone who has been hospitalized or any additional confirmed cases. As more information becomes available, Campbell County Public Health will continue to keep everyone informed.
