Public Health and Curative Offer Additional Testing Site

Front entrace to Public Health of Campbell County Curative Testing Location at 505 S. Gillette Ave.

As a result of a significant increase in testing demand, Public Health of Campbell County worked with the Wyoming Department of Health to secure a Curative testing team to conduct free COVID-19 tests for the public. Earlier this month, the Board of Commissioners authorized the Courthouse Annex—formally known as the Cloud Peak Energy Building— located at 505 S. Gillette Avenue for use as a temporary testing site for the Curative team.

The Curative testing site offers polymerase chain reaction (PCR) tests, a molecular test that analyzes an upper respiratory sample for genetic material of SARS-CoV-2, the virus that causes COVID-19. COVID-19 tests are free of cost, self-collected, and painless. The tests are not rapid tests, and results can take one to two days once the swab arrives at their lab.

Testing is currently offered Monday through Friday between 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. and is subject to adjustment if determined a different schedule would better serve the public’s testing needs.

Appointments are scheduled online at cur.tv/gillette. Walk-up testing is also available without an appointment.

Additional testing locations include Public Health of Campbell County, Black Hills Urgent Care, Big Horn Pediatrics, Campbell County Health, High Desert Healthcare, Medical Arts Laboratory, and Walgreens.
