CCPL Money Monday: Financial Literacy 101

Money Mondays starting September 5

Did you know that 36% of Americans are considered financially fragile? According to the National Endowment for Financial Education (NEFE), financially fragile is measured by an individual’s ability to cope with unexpected expenses in a short time frame. Specifically, $400 immediately in case of any emergency, and their capacity to get $2,000 in 30 days.

Michelle Pierce, instructor for all Campbell County Public Library Money Monday classes, is a University of Wyoming (UW) Community Development Extension Educator for the Northeast area, based in Gillette. Her passion is teaching others how to become financially literate and getting the most out of their time, personal energy, and money. Attend the monthly money classes at your library and Michelle will help you become an informed consumer! No personal questions or sales pitches, only research-based information from the University of Wyoming. UW does not provide tax, legal, or financial information. Contact Michelle directly at or (307) 682-7281.
