3rd Annual Dance Through the Decades Fundraiser

Tickets are on sale NOW for the Rockpile Museum Association's 3rd Annual Dance through The Decades fundraiser on Saturday, June 1, 2019.

Put on your dancin’ shoes and bring your appetite to the Rockpile Museum Association’s 3rd Annual Dance Through The Decades fundraiser at Gillette’s Campbell County Senior Center.  Groove to the music of the 40’s to 90’s by D.J. Ron Sawyer and enjoy a catered dinner and cash bar by the Railyard .  Tickets are available at $30 per person for this family-friendly event.  Attendees are encouraged to dress in attire from their favorite decade and prizes will be awarded for the best costumes.  Doors open at 6 p.m.; dinner will begin at 6:30 with dance to follow.  There will also be a silent auction and 50-50 drawing.

The proceeds will once more benefit the RMA’s Summer Internship Program at the Campbell County Rockpile Museum.  Museum Registrar Angela Beenken runs the internship program and she stated that "the basis for the Rockpile Museum Association internship stems from the overall goal and vision to provide exceptional educational experiences. This not only includes programming and exhibits, but also educational opportunities for emerging professionals in the field of museums and archives. The anticipated results of this internship include a greater knowledge of cataloging and artifact handling, as well has how to research and develop exhibits that reach local, regional, and national audiences.  This exciting paid opportunity includes housing, passes to area recreational facilities, memberships to historical organizations, tickets to events and attractions, and a monthly stipend. Not only will the museum benefit from additional helping hands, the intern will also have the chance to explore the many opportunities Gillette and Campbell County have to offer.”

Tickets available NOW at the Rockpile Museum, 900 W 2nd Street, Gillette, WY, between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. Monday through Saturday.  Please call the Rockpile at 307-682-5723 for more information.
