Learn to Knit • Learn to turn yarn into a warm and cozy pair of slippers! Nancy Venable, CCPL Extension Services Manager and craft enthusiast, will teach you knitting basics through this beginner project. Three-session class: November 9, 16, 23; 10am-12pm (full) or 1-3pm (full) each Saturday (class size: 6, must be available for each session, call 687.0009 to sign up)
Please bring the following supplies (available at JoAnn’s and Walmart): 1 pair size US 10 or 6 mm knitting needles • yarn/large blunt plastic sewing needle • 2 skeins (5 ounces minimum each, approximately 250 yards each) of Red Heart acrylic yarn in coordinating colors

The Campbell County Public Library Young Adult Department provides an Xbox and a Wii station for open-play gaming Saturday afternoons from 1:30-4pm during the school year, as well as on school early-release afternoons. Gamers sign up for turns and cooperatively choose games from the library’s collection. Students in grades 7-12 are invited to join the fun!

Bring 5 canned food items on Mondays, win a free pass to the Recreation Center!
Campbell County Parks and Recreation participates in the county wide food drive benefiting the Council of Community Services. This year if you bring in 5 canned food items or non perishable items on Mondays through December 6, you will be awarded a free pass to the Recreation Center. A couple would need to bring 10 to get two passes and if you bring 15 then you will receive a free family pass. If you want to participate, but don't want the free pass, we will accept donations all week during this time.

The Campbell County Recreational basketball league provides an atmosphere of fun and friendly competition that allows youth to experience the joy of organized sports while promoting teamwork and good sportsmanship. The emphasis is recreational and is based on developing basketball skills. All participants will receive a jersey.
Registration Dates: November 5 - December 3
Practice Begins: December 19
Games Begin: On or after January 4
Coaches Meeting: Tuesday, December 17 at 5:30 p.m. Recreation Center Field House
Coaches will contact players by December 22
