    July 13, 2019, 1:30 PM - 4:00 PM @ Campbell County Public Library

    The Campbell County Public Library Young Adult Department offers an Xbox and a Wii station for open-play gaming Saturday afternoons from 1:30-4pm during the school year, as well as school early-release afternoons. Gamers sign up for turns and cooperatively choose games from the library’s collection. Students in grades 7-12 are invited to join the fun!

    The Campbell County Rockpile Museum invites you to join us on Saturday, July 13th for the next installment of “Black & Yellow Theatre: Powder River Basin Voices from the Black Hills to Yellowstone.” Join us for a Fireside Chat with local author, Tom Butler as he shares his from his latest work Colorful Characters of Campbell County at 11:00 a.m. or 2:00 p.m. in the Kintz Room at the Rockpile Museum. Hear about some of the interesting residents of Campbell County that Butler encountered in his research. You might hear stories about Woodbox Jim, Diamond “L” Slim, Bum a Nickel, The Gum Lady, and others. Copies of Colorful Characters of Campbell County are available in the Rockpile Museum Gift Shop for $15.00 and Mr. Butler would love to sign the books for guests. Tom Butler is a lifelong resident of Gillette and a terrific booster for our community. Tom’s first book, Remembering Gillette, was published by the Campbell County Historical Society in 2013.
